WTF News Terms of Service

The following Terms of Use outline your obligations when using the WTF News website. You can also review our Privacy Policy (see dot point 7 "WTF News Privacy Policy"), which outlines our obligations to handling personal information you provide when using our website.

1. Acceptance of Terms

Please read the TOS carefully. By accessing WTF News, and using any part of the Website you agree to become bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to any part of the TOS, you may not access WTF News. Acceptance to the Website is limited to these terms.

2. Modifications of the Terms of Use

We may revise these terms at any date. The most current version of the terms will always be at wtfnews.org/terms. Please review the terms on a regular basis to keep informed of any changes. If changes are considered to be of high importance, we may send out an announcement on the Website outlining such. Use of the TOS will always be relevant to the current TOS as found at this address. As a user of this Website you will always adhere to these terms.

3. Member requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to register and use this site as a registered member. You may not register an account if you are under 13 years old.

Your WTF News account name must be at least 6 characters long.

4. User code of conduct

WTF News reserves the right to forfeit, suspend, or cancel your access as a member based on IP Address, username, or e-mail address.

Under no circumstances can you:

• Create multiple accounts. WTF News allows one user account per one e-mail address.
• Select a username ("User ID") that is offensive. WTF News reserves the right to deem what username is offensive.
• Select a username to impersonate, discriminate or sabotage a user with a similar WTF News User ID.
• Change your WTF News User ID. An e-mail to us with a valid reason for the change is required via the contact form.
• Abuse, threaten or otherwise offend fellow WTF News members.
• Post links to illegal material, copyright material, pornographic material, "SPAM" related material, offensive material, or any other material with the sole purpose of self-advertisement.
• Sell or trade your WTF News User ID.
• Facilitate fake or dubious "WTF Vote" counts any WTF submissions.

You cannot change your own WTF News User ID. Should you want to change your WTF News User ID, you may contact us via the contact form or e-mail support@wtfnews.org.

You can change your e-mail address. Please be aware that e-mail address changes of more than 3 in a month are notified to admins, who may act upon at their own discretion.

WTF News reserves the right to forfeit, suspend, or cancel your access as a member based on IP Address, username, or e-mail address. WTF News may additionally remove any submitted content at any time for any reason.

5. Submitted Content

Content is defined by user submitted links to external sources, and images and videos submitted/uploaded to WTF News.

By submitting content to this Website, you warrant that you own all rights to said content, and agree that the content will be dedicated to the public domain under the Creatve Commons Public Domain Dedication, which can be found at: http://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/.

6. Copyright Complaints

WTF News respects the intellectual property ("IP") of others. While it is not our responsibility over what our users post, it is our responsibility to action claims of copyright and other IP infringement allegations. We will prioritise investigation of notices of alleged IP infringement and take appropriate action in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"), and other IP laws.

To notify WTF News of Copyright Infringement, please send an e-mail with the subject line "Copyright Infringement Complaint" to infringements@wtfnews.org. Upon reviewing the case, WTF News may, in accordance with the DMCA, remove or disable access to material claimed to be infringing upon a copyright material, and a notice to the offending user will then be sent via e-mail.

Repeat infringers' WTF News User Accounts will be terminated.

7. WTF News Privacy Policy

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall WTF News or its affiliates be liable under contract with respect to the Website, or any of the Website's content for any lost profits that may result in user activity or submission.

WTF News is a community driven social bookmark website in which users are liable for their own submissions and Website activity, including but not limited to posting comments, links to outside sources, videos, images.

9. Warranty

The service, content, and Website are provided on an "AS IS" basis, without warranties of any kind. As a WTF News user, you agree that the Website has no control over and no requirement to take action regarding:

• which users gain access to the Site,
• what content is submitted,
• how this content affects you,
• or what actions you may take as a result of said content.

You also agree that WTF News is not responsible for any loss of profits, or damages directly or indirectly affected by the service or content of the Website. You agree that using this site is at your own risk.

You release WTF News from all liability for you having acquired or not, through content on the Website. WTF News makes no representation whatsoever concerning content contained in or accessed through the Website, and is not responsible for content's accuracy, copyright compliance, legality or decency.
