Parents say a newspaper photo is of Jesus watching their hospitalised little girl.

The photo shows her with what some people claim is the image of Jesus over her right shoulder.

Hannah Roberts, 5, is battling E.coli and has been in hospital for a week since becoming sick after attending the Cleveland County Fair in the US.

More than 35 people have become sick since visiting the fair.

A photo of Hannah in the Gaston Gazette was posted online and has since been the focus of a 'miracle'.

"Jesus is watching over our Hannah," an online post said.

“Can you see Him in this picture of Hannah printed in the Gaston Gazette?"

Hannah's family has been asking for prayers since she became sick.
