"KILLING is so easy. I killed the first one, then the other. I'm thinking of doing it again."
With these words, Brett Richard Nicholas Kuzimski allegedly confessed to murdering two women and setting their bodies on fire inside a four-wheel drive in bushland on the outskirts of Perth.
Kuzimski, 37, has pleaded not guilty to murdering Melanie Carle, 26, and Kellie Maree Guyler, 32, and destroying a Toyota Landcruiser belonging to their housemate in the early hours of May 1, 2010.
On the first day of his trial in the WA Supreme Court today, prosecutor Linda Petrusa told the jury Kuzimski had admitted his alleged crimes to a Hakea Prison nurse while on remand.
"He asked if the interview (with the nurse) was confidential," she said, before he uttered the fateful words.
