An Austin Powers actor and former martial arts fighter has been convicted of torture 21 years after the abduction and gang rape of a 20-year-old Californian woman.
Joseph Hyungmin Son, who played the shoe-throwing character "Random Task" in Austin Powers, was found guilty of snatching the woman off the street in Huntington Beach on Christmas Eve, 1990.
Son, along with another man, was accused of holding the woman at gunpoint and raping her numerous times as well as sexually assaulting her with the gun.
The men then released the woman naked with her pants tied around her eyes.
Prosecutor Eric Scarborough said Son was sadist who took pleasure in terrifying his victim.
