A BOY and a man are dead and seven people are in hospital after a truck ploughed into the home of a sleeping family The truck collided with a ute near the Kalang River bridge, about 27km south of Coffs Harbour, before hurtling off the road and smashing into the home on the Pacific Highway at Urunga about 5am, reported The Daily Telegraph.
The B-double - a prime mover towing two trailers - crashed into a front bedroom, killing the teenage boy who had been sleeping. The man driving the ute was also killed.
The boy's mother, father brother and two residents who live next door to the family have suffered shock are being treated in Coffs Harbour Hospital, police said.
