A TIGER has bitten its handler at an Australian theme park today for the second time in four months.

The handler at the Dreamworld theme park on the Gold Coast was bitten on the calf about 8.15am (AEST) and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, the Gold Coast Bulletin said.

Dreamworld spokesman Al Mucci told the ABC the injury was "not significant".
