POLICE are hunting a brazen bandit who emptied the Queens Head Hotel gaming room's cash register, unaware hundreds of off-duty police were celebrating a football win in the adjoining room.
Police from across the country are in town for the 2012 National Police Football Championships -- being held at North Hobart -- and scores of officers in plain clothes were toasting the start of the tournament in the bar on Monday night.
