The famous 'lobby scene' from classic sci-fi movie The Matrix has been recreated - starring peanuts.

The original scene is a huge favourite among fans of the cult movie with more than a million hits on YouTube.

The new version tries to recreate the magic using peanuts with drawn-on faces, cucumbers and natural yoghurt pots.

A security guard delivers the famous line 'Please remove any metallic items you are carrying' before Neo opens his coat to reveal an arsenal of weapons.

Peanut shells and cucumber skin are sent flying in the ensuing battle, with 'Neo' showing off some impressive moves including a gravity-defying roll up a wall.

The clip has received more than 20,000 hits on YouTube in less than five days and received hundreds of likes.

Comments range from "Amazing! Good job!" and "Keanu Reeves' best performance yet" to "You have WAY too much time on your hands... Please, please get a job!!!!!"
