Kim Kardashian has enraged cancer sufferers (and pretty much all intelligent people) by likening her recent divorce dramas to the trauma of being a cancer patient.
In an insightful interview with The Guardian (yes, either someone didn't brief the respected UK newspaper on who Kim actually is, or someone didn't brief Kim on the fact that The Guardian isn't a glossy fashion mag) Kim talks about why she made the decision to broadcast her ill-fated, 72-day marriage on reality TV.
"We had done filming our season at that point, so we decided to film for the wedding. And that was a decision that [ex-husband Kris Humphries] and I made together," Kim tells the interviewer.
"But I think that, with any decisions in life, like, I spoke to a girl today who had cancer and we were talking about how this is such a hard thing for her, but it taught her a big lesson on who her friends are and so much about life. She's 18. And I was like, that's how I feel."
Kim goes on to explain that there's no way she faked her short-lived marriage, because it simply wouldn't have made good "business sense".
"Getting married and divorced quickly, if that was my goal the whole time — I'm not an idiot, I obviously know that that would be a bad business decision," says Kim.
"If anything, I probably would have left sooner had I not been filming, because I didn't want to end the relationship on TV."
