Will this be the end of the Kardashian world we all live in? Probably not. But the reality star family sure are in hot water. According to Star magazine, products that the Kardashians have been endorsing have been made in sweatshops with child labor.
Executive Director Charles Kernaghan of the Institute for Global Labour and Human Rights told the site, "The Kardashians are in bed with some pretty bad people." [Shocker] "Not only are celebrities like the Kardashians taking advantage of these workers, they are holding hands with a government that spits on democracy and women's rights." Some of the people that manufacture the products are as young as sixteen years old and are virtually imprisoned.
The Executive Director of China Labor Watch Li Qiang also adds, "People like the Kardashians are producing their products in China because they will get more profit, since the labor cost is so low compared to the United States and other countries."
Here Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and Kris Jenner are ranking in millions of dollars a year, while the sweatshop workers earn just a $1 an hour in 84 hour work weeks.
